Dicussion Impact Of Games Players

Computer games are so popular because they apply to a wide audience. Before computer games only applyed to boys, but now computer games apply to a wide range of people they apply to girls and familys. Publishers such as Nintendo are reaching out to familys with their new consoles instead of their original fan base. Games like super mario and metroid are aimed more at children and familys than the originals which applyed more to boys than children and familys. Other pubishes such as microsoft are now exspanding into family gaming. The playstaition 3 still stay loyal to the original fan base with games such as silent hill and metal gear solid. I think that computer games dont make you violent at all. They are made to be violent so you are able to shoot someone in a virtual world insead of real life. Take halo 3, you wouldnt go around hitting people with giant hammers in the street you can only do it in the world of halo. The reason they make these games violent because you dont have to kill in real life. I dont think games make you isolated because on game consoles such as the xbox 360 you can speak to other players so when your playing online you always have someone to talk to so i dont think games make you isolated. I dont think that games make you less social because its the same like with the isolated issue on consoles like the xbox 360 you can speak with people and make new friends over xbox live so i dont think that games make you less social
